LOBELT

LOBELT is unofficial name for a hybrid robot with a 3DoF balancing head/upperbody and a mobile platform. It started as a concept powered wheelchair with a auto balancing seat to keep the patient always balanced regardless of the terrain. Different versions of the mobile platforms are played with, tested and current one is a tracked rover.

The project served as our graduate thesis and papers researching on parallel robots and their composition with mobile platforms.

The research project is done at IAUSTB, Tehran, Iran. and it is led by Dr. Mehrdad Javadi.

Design and development of LOBELT is done by me; Paymaan Jafari, and Narges Afzalpour. as our Mechatronics Graduate thesis under supervision of Dr. Javadi.

All software, hardware and mechanical parts are designed by the team. We heavily used Open Source resources in both hardware and software, Arduino, etc.

All mechanical parts are designed by me and my colleague with guidance from our Professor Javadi.

This page is still is a work in progress and currently is managed by Paymaan Jafari Taayemeh

we are also looking for PhD research positions in Mechatronics and Robotics, and also seeking academic or industrial sponsors on almost everything robotic/drones related. so please do not hesitate to contact me if you could provide support.
